TrailFitters opened in May 2004 to provide clothing and footwear to active outdoor people like trail runners, hikers or anyone that appreciates the fit and performance of products designed and built for outdoor use.

TrailFitters is located in Fitger's Brewery Complex in beautiful downtown Duluth, MN. For people not familiar with Duluth, it is an outdoor lover's dream. Located on Lake Superior, Duluth has been rated in the Top 10 Outdoor Dream Towns by Outside Magazine. It is home to numerous hikers, runners, cross-country skiers, rock climbers, kayakers, in-line skaters, triathletes and other endurance athletes. Duluth has over 52 miles of hiking trails and 65K (40 miles) of cross-country ski trails all within the city limits! Every June, Duluth hosts one of the largets marathons in the country - Grandma's Marathon (www.grandmasmarathon.com). In September, the largest in-line skating marathon in North America is held in Duluth.

20 miles northeast of Duluth is Two Harbors which is home to the southern terminus of the Superior Hiking Trail - a 205 mile footpath that winds it way along the ridgetops overlooking Lake Superior. It was rated the #2 hiking trail in the country by Backpacker Magazine. It has become a destination for hikers and backpackers from all over the country. For trail runners, the Superior Hiking Trail is home to the most challenging and rewarding trail races anywhere east of the Rocky Mountains. In May, Lutsen hosts the Superior Trail Races with distances of 25K and 50K. In September, The Superior Trail 100 mile challenges the most experienced ultrarunners along with the Superior 50 Mile and marathon.
